It was done as a part of my summer 2009 internship at WRL Advertising. The mesh is separated into multiple pieces, each unwrapped with a separate texture map painted with Photoshop. Rendered with mental ray and the daylight system. Compositing done in Photoshop as well.

This Batmobile is based on the model drawn by Jim Lee in the graphic novel Batman: Hush. It was my first time using mental ray or modelling a car. Mental ray car paint and Arch & Design glass materials were used, as well as mental ray spotlights, mental ray shadow maps and a skylight. Photoshop was used for the bump map on the headlights and the final composite. Constructive criticism is always welcome.

My model is based mostly on the Stand Alone Complex TV series character, with a hint of the 1st film's version in the hair and shades. Having only been using 3ds Max for 1 year it's my first and only personal project outide of college, and I had to learn alot on my own. This character was done over the entire summer of 07. I learned alot and had a great time.

Particles were used for the bed of small rocks in the middle of the room. Photoshop was used sparingly for some texture work. I'd love to hear what you think.
An advanced raytrace shadow was applied to the light above and behind the model. A turbosmooth modifier of 3 iterations is on the model. Photoshop was used to create the texure which was mostly clone stamped from references but with a little bit of painting. Any comments are all welcome.
